He was sitting in the living room and gave me my present (a watch) and hid the ring in the same box. I saw the ring and looked at him like "you gave me a watch and a ring?" and he said "well?" I heard from his friend that he spent weeks thinking of a way to propose and somehow ended up with "well?" Men...

8) How's your sex life? AWESOME!!!  Finally...we're finally on schedules that make it possible to do it more than once a week.

9) How is s/he with LO? He is an amazing father!!  Overprotective and OCD but amazing.  He was really uneasy and uninvolved with DD#2 at first but as her personality has emerged he has just fallen head over heels for her.  She'll be his best friend just like DD#1 is.

Brunch at a now-shuttered restaurant.  The food and service were not so good, and we made fun of things the entire time.

He made a nice dinner for us and served ice cream with fortune cookies on the side of the bowl for dessert.  He had plucked out the original fortune and replaced it with a slip of paper where he wrote "would you marry me?"  I was completely shocked.

He has to have music on all.the.time.  Also is a political junkie, and sometimes I just don't want to hear about crazy crap the government is doing but he feels obliged to tell me....zzzz.....

Ha ha ha...we have DTD successfully (i.e., withough such pain that I made him stop) all of twice since DS arrived almost 10 months ago...so not very well...

Quite good.  He is getting better and better as DS gets older.  However, DS is in such a mommy fixated mode right now, I end up with him almost all the time.

4) We went on a hike in Boulder - Flatirons.

5)  He proposed at the summit of the hike that we took for our first date (see question 4).  It was on my birthday, the snow was falling he was on one knee and we were the only people around for miles - it was perfect!

6)  He loves to go on endless rants.  We very rarely agree on things (he's conservative, I'm liberal) - so he'll do a lot of "you know what's wrong with this country?..." diatribes.  (Honestly though, I kinda like it because it usually leads to some cool discussions - assuming I can get a word in edgewise!)

8)  Really good!  (It was pretty bad a couple months ago - but we're getting our groove back - thank goodness!)

9)  Incredible!  He's very protective - but he is just so darn sweet around her.  He's always been pretty serious, but she brings out the goofy in him and whenever she's arond he's always beaming.  It makes my heart so happy to see!

2) Where did you meet your SO? At the premiere of SW Episode I - yes, we're geeks.

3) How long have you been together? 13 years, although there was some short time apart.

4) Where did you go on your first date? Group dinner and a movie, then just the two of us drove around town and ended up at a swanky piano bar.

5) If engaged or married, how did s/he propose? He asked me over Thanksgiving breakfast (also his parents' anniversary), with both our families staying at our house.  So perfect, and so us.

Married 5 years He took me to the golf course where we had our first date, but it was closed! Lol so we went to a near by cafe. When he got down on one knee I thought he was joking (he had done it before as a joke!) Then I saw the ring and knew it was for real! June 1st We r almost 7w pp and I'm still bleeding so its pretty dry. He is amazing! He changed every diaper in the hospital and is better at to her to sleep then I am! Blue eyes and long lashes! 6) Is there anything about your SO that just drives you nuts? Yes. He acts like he has no common sense. Also, he really has a listening problem. Ex: Today I told him I had already gotten his dad a birthday card, but that I needed him to run and pick up some milk for DS - what does he do? Goes and buys another card and doesn't get any milk. I'm really not kidding when I say he just flat out doesn't listen.

8) How's your sex life? Eh, we still manage usually once a week...unfortunately we are both tired most of the time. But we try to make an effort, and it's still very enjoyable - just not as frequent.

9) How is s/he with LO? For the most part, great! He can do everything that needs to be done, perfectly capable of taking care of DS without me around (he is practically a SAHD in the summer, he's a teacher).

10) What's your SO's best physical feature? He has beautiful eyes and long eyelashes. I love them! And he's taller than me...I love that (I'm pretty tall, and all my ex-bf's were either same height as me or just a tad shorter).
