I know Prince William, Duke of Cambridge's name is William Arthur Philip Louis. Their last name is "of city/town/county/someplace" isnt it?
William and Harry do use Wales as a kind of surname in the military and in school. Their last name is reputed to be Windsor, but most of the lesser royals use a hyphenated Mountbatten-Windsor last name. Mountbatten is the surname Philip chose; it ia an Anglicized version of his mother's last name- Battenberg which was changed around WW I. Windsor was chosen at the same time to make a break with Germany. Prince Albert's surname- Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Philip's dad's family name is Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg
If I remember correctly, they switched from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in 1917 with WWI, since it was no longer politically correct to be associated with Germany (which the royals have technically been since the Hanovers claimed their descendency starting in 1714 once the Stuart line died out). Windsor is nice and Anglicised...

They have last names, but they are rarely used because they don't need to be. Everyone knows who they are.
Their last names follow the dynasty they belong to.
Windsor is Queen Elizabeth's last name, I believe.
