I apologize if this has been asked before, I tried the search function but that never seems to work for me!
Can anyone recommend a hotel near Sesame Place? I was on the Sesame Place website looking at their preferred hotels, but it doesn't show you any reviews. I'd love for the hotel to be close (within 5 miles) from Sesame, but it doesn't have to be super fancy.
TIA!
Re: Sesame Place- Hotel Recs Needed Please
We stayed at the Residence Inn, Langhorne PA. It was about a 3 min drive to the park and they provided a shuttle to and from the park throughout the day. It had a great breakfast every morning that was included and the indoor pool was nice. We stayed with another family and got a suite so I can't comment on single room prices, but it was very clean and the staff was nice.
We just went two weeks ago, and this is where we stayed too. The shuttle was great, and seemed to run pretty often (it was great to save $15 per day on parking!). The breakfast was very nice, and had plenty of choices.
We got a one bedroom suite, because DD is a loud sleeper and we don't get any rest when we are in the room with her. It was nice to be able to put her in another part of the suite in her PNP so we could all get some rest!
It was more pricey since we got a suite, but totally worth it for us!
Also, just posted this answer on 12-24, as someone there was looking for info. Thought it could help you too:
Lurking from 24+ months.
We just went two weekends ago with DD, and she loved it! We stayed at the Residence Inn in Langhorne, and it was very nice. The shuttle was free, and went back and forth to and from the park all day (saved us $15 per day on parking). It was literally a 4 minute ride, as the hotel is very close. They had a really nice breakfast each morning with lots of options. I am so glad we stayed overnight (Philly is only about two hours from us, so we could have made it in a day, technically). It was nice not to have to rush, to be able to rest when we needed to, etc.
We got a one bedroom suite, with a door, for some separation (as it's hard to go to bed at 8pm so that DD can sleep). It was nice to be able to set up her PNP in a different part of the suite so that we could still stay up.
The park itself was nice. It was crowded (as we would have expected during a weekend in July). We bought the Magic Queue pass though, which allowed us to skip the lines. We also did the character dinner, which was well worth the money!
The first day, we ate a picnic lunch that we packed right outside of the park (you can get a stamp to leave and come back). The second day, we saved money (and avoided the crowds) by eating next door at Uno's pizza.
Have fun, hope this helps!
