My local radio station has a fake court program where people call in with their opinions and make the decision for the people on the program.  This morning's was about a couple and what to name their baby.  They had agreed on Miles because it was the wife's maiden name and meant a lot to her.  They had baby items monogrammed and his name put on many items.  The husband ran into his ex a few days ago and her husband was named Miles, so now he's creeped out about naming his child that.  Who would you have voted for?

I would still use Miles.  Who cares what an ex's spouse is named.

Yeah, most people sided with the wife, and thought the husband had some unresolved issues going on with his ex if he was that weirded out about it.  The only time I've ever texted into a radio show with my opinion.

I don't know. Miles is on our top. It fights for number 1 with Adrian and Ronan... 

I think in this example, since they already decided and had things monogrammed and all that jazz that they should stick with it.

I would still use the name. Now if it was the ex's son's name I might have a different opinion.

But... I would never name a baby my maiden name. What if something happens and the kid ends up being Miles Miles?
