Was anyone else scared to stop progesterone?

Yep, I was terrified. My RE wasn't going to double check my prog levels, but I begged and she had me stop and then sent me in for b/w a few days later to help reassure me. Perhaps ask if they can run your levels again...definitely made me feel better knowing I was okay without the supplement!

Hell no!  That was the best day of my life.  I smiled ear to ear for days.

Lol. I do have to admit that I am interested to see what my energy level and mood do off of these things.

Not at all. I was on PIO so I was so ready to be done with those injections. I was on a countdown the last few weeks. I even acted the rebel and skipped my final injection. I just couldn't take it any more.

By the time you stop the Progesterone, your body is producing so much of it on it's own that what you are adding is the equivalent of spitting in a swimming pool.

I was scared last time and I am scared this time because of the miscarriage I had 2 1/2 years ago at 10 weeks and the bleeding I had at 10 weeks with my son.   Both times my OB decided to keep me on Prometrium until 12 weeks since it won't hurt anything (although it makes me a little bloated).  She told me that the placenta completely takes over at 12 weeks and I shouldn't worry after that.

No, those pills made me so dizzy on a daily basis, I did a happy dance when I was done with them. I was also 13 weeks when he let me stop, so I was pretty convinced I was okay at that point!

Yes, I was terrified.  In fact, I was so terrified that after they had me stop the PIO and checked my levels and the RE felt good about things, I still asked to go on Endometrin 3x/day until 10 weeks.  I'm pretty sure they thought I was crazy, but it made me feel better.  For the record... I'm be willing to bet I would have been fine without the Endometrin.

Yeah I am scared to do this! When does your body start taking over?

I am on PIO & obv ready to be done, but it scares me. My RE said I would stop at 8ish weeks & maybe have me on suppositories (just in case until 9 or 10 weeks) I know when they have me stop, they will have me come back 2 days later to check my levels.

Yes, I am scared. Although I am also happy. Very weird! The symptoms don't bother me much, but my spotting flips to pink or red every time I put it in and I am tired of that! Next Friday is the day. But yes, bundle of nerves.

Terrified. I was on suppositories & just stopped Monday. Low progesterone was never an issue for me, so my RE had me on it as a precaution when I got my BFP, but it was still a nice mental security blanket. I have had no symptoms coming off. Good luck & ask for follow up bw if it will help put your mind at ease :)

I can't wait! It is getting harder and harder to tolerate the PIO. My last injection is on Sept 1, and I can't wait. I will be 12 weeks that day.

Are they making you wait so long because you have twins or for some other reason? I think mine is having me stop at 8 weeks (which I personally think is too soon-for my comfort)

I was too excited to get to the point of stopping progesterone to be scared.. I had no issues going off of it (mentally and physically).

    Hey lover :)

I was very anxious and worried about stopping...I stopped at exactly 11 weeks and it was terrifying, but everything turned out okay. I was only on 50mg suppositories once a day though, so that made me feel a little better.

I was told that spotting after stopping could be a possibility, but I fortunately didn't experience that.

I can't believe you are 8 weeks :)<3 You are still in my prayers every day! <3
