How many follicles if you had an IUI?

I am wondering how many follicle and what size you had at the time of your IUI? I just went to dr today and they said I have about 4 in the running, but they are still smaller 10-14 size's... She is giving me more meds , but at a lower dose to grow them a little more.. Plus she said there are ones under 10 that she doesnt want to grow... Sooo I am worried about multiples or the fact that these may not grow? I have to see her on Sunday and see what they are and possible iui mon or tues if we do thisTIA!!

I had this problem my first two tries at IUI as my doctor had to figure out the right dosage and schedule. I'm not sure what your diagnosis is, but mine is PCOS so I have LOTS of follies, but without meds I don't get 1 dominant one that is big enough to be viable.

We didn't have any MFI issues, so my doctor was only comfortable doing the procedure with 2 mature follicles. Anytime I had 3 or more it would get cancelled because there would be too great a chance of multiples.

My successful cycle, I think I had one around 18 and one around 16 when they measured them in the office. Then I did another night of injects and the following night triggered (so the biggest one was probably measuring around 21 or so). It depends on your body - some peoples' follies really grow a lot in response to the trigger, other people not so much.

Hopefully just 1 or 2 of your bigger ones will mature and the other ones will stay small. Fingers crossed for you! And also, don't give up if it doesn't work this time around. Doctors have to "tinker" with the injectable recipe to get it just right for your body.

I'll probably be in the minority, but I had 4-5 mature ones at the time of trigger.  I don't remember the exact sizes but I know they ranged from 17-22+.  I had that many mature follies on every 'succesful' cycle.  I don't know what the first two would have resulted in since we lost the pregnancies very early on, but we are now having twins.

I had 2 follicles at my first iui. They were around 18 and 20 mm at ovulation. My DH has low sperm count but he SA on clomid so at that iui his count was 147 million. So I thought it was going to work. It didn't. 

At my second iui I had 2 follicles again. His sperm count was lower, they changed their grading process so they didn't give us an actual number but said it was a lil low. But that was the cycle that conceived out son.

How many IUIs have u done? Is there a mfi diagnosis? If there is your first iui and there is no mfi I would be very worried about HOM if 4-5 follicles mature. Are you also doing a trigger?

This would be my second.  I had one afew years ago and conceived lo with 3 mature.  No MFI at all!  He is great!  Yes, doing trigger... This all depends what happens at appt this weekend...

I had two, but they were different in size - I think 13 and 18.  The 18 was probably "ripe" enough but the other wasn't.

I had 4 follicles.  I don't remember the size but I actually think they were really mature.  We did back to back IUIs (one on Tuesday, the other on Wednesday).  I was totally freaked about multiples but fortunately I got pregnant with only one baby.

I only had 1 dominant follicle each time.  Good luck w/ growing your follies.
