NB Question: Are you studying a particular method or taking classes? I read the Bradley, Hypnobirthing and Birthing from Within books. Im taking parts of all of them, but wont be taking any classes I dont think.

This summer is a bit of a bummer, cause we opted for no vacation so we could save all our time up for a trip to Europe in Oct. I will be glad later, but am getting burned out at work now.
NB Question: Are you studying a particular method or taking classes? We did the Bradley Method and classes with DD. I finally pulled out my book and started re-reading last night. That was kind of an eye opener, like wow we are really doing this again.

Summer is when Dh is really busy for work and when he works, he is gone for several days at a time. I feel like I am just trying to survive getting through Aug and Sept and then we can coast right into 3rd tri and into Dec!
NB Question: Are you studying a particular method or taking classes? Nope. We didn't study a particular method the first time. I was motivated mostly by my fear of epidurals. I made it last time, so I'm not doing anything differently this time. I am doing prenatal yoga again, which is a good reminder of positions that worked and new ones to try, but nothing past that.

Just got back from our only vacation for the year, and the rest of August will just be working. Hoping to get together with a few different groups of friends before the end of summer, but nothing formal or planned yet!
I'm new to the board! My edd is 3/12. We'll be finding out the sex at our 20ish week u/s sometime in Oct. We'll be delivering at home God-willing.
NB Question: Are you studying a particular method or taking classes? I read some Bradley stuff while pg with one of my older kids, I think #2. I didn't really like the idea of holding still so much. I read a tribal childbirth book while pg last time and loved it! I'm all about moving however my body tells me to and birthing in whatever position works best in the moment. #2 was all fours, #3 (posterior with a nuchal hand) was squatting, and #4 was leaning over the bathroom counter (nuchal hand and a shoulder tucked up as far as she could get it, I'll never forget dh saying "her head is coming out WITH her shoulder!" though I'm sure her head came out before her shoulder, she was just tucked up really well I guess).

Dd1's birthday is in 2 weeks, and ds1's birthday is 4 weeks after that, so we're planning a joint birthday party right in the middle of their birthdays. Last time we tried to have one for each of them, but no one could come to ds's birthday and that was awful.
No classes or methods. When I was pregnant with DD I was in grad school and I couldn't schedule any of the longer classes with my class and work schedule. I made it through okay, and now that I know what I'm in for, I feel like I don't necessarily need a class. I am taking prenatal yoga to help me get physically ready...I hope.
I hope to do at least a couple of fun summer things before it's over...so far this summer all I've done is go to work, take care of DD, and work on apartment renovations. It has sucked.

I am not studying a particular method but just reading everything I can and practicing some prenatal yoga.
Also, it sounds like people have some fun plans for the end of summer but I'll probably just keep working and saving up my leave for maternity leave. Still, I'll be happier once the temperatures start falling here! I am officially ready to be done with 90+ degree days.

Only taking the class held by the midwives. I am not following any method in particular.
These last few weeks, I plan to rest, I hoped to go fishing/camping in the highlands this weekend but I don't think I would be very comfortable at this stage. I think I will just finish preparing for baby and enjoy some days of doing nothing.

Celebrating our 5th anniversary this month (plans still not made!). DH is running an out-of-town marathon in September. Two weddings - one in NYC when I'm 35 weeks, yikes! Oops, guess that goes past summer but all of it is making this pregnancy fly by WAY too fast!

NB Question: Are you studying a particular method or taking classes? While we aren't studying any one method in particular, we are taking classes. The last one is Tuesday. I thought they were pretty helpful, and was pleasantly surprised at how neutral the curriculum was for a hospital class. The instructor is also a supporter of NB, so that's really nice as well.

I'm going to try to squeeze in some more swimming, and I'm going raspberry and peach picking with my best friend this weekend and/or next. Hopefully we'll be able to get some blackberries before the season's up, too.

We just returned from a 3 w vaca in Montana, so we are laying low for the rest of summer!! Hitting up the pool, having some picnics in the park with friends, and doing some house work. Apparently a family of moles moved into our yard while we were gone and killed our grass! oye...

We begin our hypnobirthing classes next Thursday.
Nothing huge planned for the rest of the summer. We have two showers coming up (one in August and one in Sept). I am commissioner of a Fantasy Football league and draft day is August 25th...could be my favorite day of the year next to Christmas morning. But otherwise...we will just continue to work on the house and the nursery, I'll keep taking my yoga classes and swimming and we'll prepare for the arrival of our little guy!

Nope. This is #2 for us. Had a completely natural birth with the first without any "studying" or anything to prepare. Just decided that I wanted to do it, and that I could do it, and then I DID do it! Hopefully things go as well with this next baby!

I'd love to take a vacay with my DH, but I'm not sure if it's in the budget. If anything, we'll go somewhere relatively close. I really hope we do end up going!

We just got back from 5 days in London seeing the Olympics. It was fantastic!
Trying to get out when the weather is good and see the summer stuff. Took DS and a friend and met up with another family to see horses today. Would like to do some berry picking next week.
