TTC after 35

Re: (Untitled)

  • Hi!

I recently had a Da Vinci robotic myomectomy and my recovery was pretty easy. I stayed in the hospital overnight because I was on my cycle and was worried about nausea, but I felt better the next day, and was even able to walk around a couple of hours after the surgery. (They make you get up to help with the gas).

I would definitely recommend it versus the traditional myomectomy. I felt like I had to go ahead and have my fibroids removed because they were only getting bigger. I conceived around the end of March and m/c at 6.5 weeks. By then the biggest of my fibroids had grown to almost 8cm.

My surgery was early Sept and the doctor ended up removing  2 large ones (~6.5/6 cm) and 5 small ones. He said everything went well and that we can TTC in 4-6 months. I will go for a sono in December. I am anxious and have the same questions as you about fertility afterwards.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
