Clots after D&C? Normal? experiences? (TMI)

I had my d&C On the July 25th So 8 days ago.

My bleeding was somewhat light for the first 3 days then literally stopped and came back two days in a row. On tuesday it came back heavier than it was but still not Filling a pad in an hour. This morning I woke up It running down my leg and a few clots then this afternoon (not very long ago) I passed a Big clot.Im still not bleeding that heavy but the clotting concerns me.

I didnt think that clotting was to be expected and that large. I did call my Ob but shes on lunch. Any one have this happen to them?

I wouldnt be too concerned at all. I've had a pretty similiar experience... the bleeding was super light after the d&c on Wednesday, but then it got really heavy Sunday night and I passed three clots about the size of a silver dollar each. Then I had hardly any bleeding again until it started up last night for a few hours and I passed another large clot. I ve had barely any bleeding today.

Then I had hardly any bleeding again until it started up last night for a few hours and I passed another large clot. I ve had barely any bleeding today.

A little clotting I wouldnt mind but the last one was close to the size of my palm.  Thanks for letting me know its normal

I can imagine it freaking me out if I wasnt expecting it. I still think its good that you called the ob just so she is aware.

My Ob ended up calling me back, Im back on medication to contract my uterus etc and On rest for the weekend.

After my D&C I bled pretty lightly for a week, then it started getting heavier. Had to go back in to remove more tissue. Then it slowed down and stopped. Then one day (about a week after the 2nd procedure) I was gushing blood and passing clots the size of my palm and bigger  and soaking through a pad in about 10-15 minutes. Called my OB and also had to go on meds and she did a small procedure in the office and in a day or 2 later, the bleeding had totally stopped.

GL! It's a scary experience.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Clotting is normal, but it sounds like yours was an abnormally large size.  I was told both after my D&C & my pg with DD to expect clotting, but if it was larger than a lemon to advise the Dr.
