Donor Match Vent..

Sorry for being a PW..

There is a new PERFECT donor in my clinic's donor pool that was added today. There is a picture of her and her sister (sister is cut out but I can still see sister's red hair). It is totally like a pix of me and my sis at that age. Her baby picture looks exactly like me.  All our stats are the same except she is 1 inch taller, less freckles and skinnier-- a better version of me!!

What's the problem? Clinic will not let me match until I pass my mock cycle!!!!  Ugh...  Waiting for AF this weekend. I hope no one grabs her in the next few weeks or I have to go on her wait list. I just want to get this show on the road..

    I'm sorry - that's frustrating. But, I'm glad they have a donor you like, as I know you were worried about that.

    Maybe you can ask if you put a deposit down if they can hold her for you...
    I am AMA and all tests on H came back normal
    3 failed IVF with OE and 2 failed frozen DE cycles
    Last fresh hail mary DE cycle starting Feb 2013

    Ugh, I'm pretty sure that this is why the clinics I'm  working with won't show you donors until you're ready to cycle. I really (really REALLY) hope she's there for you when you're ready.

    How frustrating. Hoping all the planets align for the cycle!

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    She sounds like such a great match! Could you contact your clinic and just try to see if they'd consider making a preliminary match for you? My clinic had the same policy, but when I contacted them and let them know our interest in our favorite potential donor, they went ahead and pulled her off the "available" list.  Good luck.

    Thats so frustrating! I hope and pray she is available at the end of the mock cycle. Good idea about putting down a deposit to hold the donor. I wonder if that might work?

    Can I ask which clinic you decided on? 

    I hesitate to answer this as I am a little embarrassed. We are using CNY. I know they have terrible stats (40%) but it's a cost issue. They have a program until 12/31/12 where you get 5-7 fresh mature eggs for $6K plus my meds/ ultrasounds (but my ins will cover the u/s and meds at 80%). The rest of the donor's eggs go into their frozen egg bank that they are trying to develop so I am not sharing with another recipient. They have horrific FET stats so getting 5-7 eggs is ok with me since I don't want frosties with them anyway since their FETs rarely work.

    40% success rate is much better than the 1% I have been cycling with my OE and the price is right for us since I don't have a job come January.

    How exciting you found such a great match! I hope something gives and it works out for you.

    Can they give you an estimate on how many people are looking for donors so you can hedge your bets? I can't imagine the anxiousness you feel. Fx that it works out!!

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    Not a mock transfer. The mock "building your lining" cycle to make sure I can get a fluffy lining with just estrogen.

    Nothing to be shy about, we all have a lot of things influencing our choices, and all those reasons make a lot of sense. I'm hoping she'll be available and your mock goes smoothly. The mock can help them time the coordination in addition to confirming their protocol is effective, although not all clinics require one. Rooting for you!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    IVF# 3= 1 egg retrieved=immature/not viable

    Found DHs BT and Me-decreased blood flow to uterus
    Recommended DE IVF w/PGD, incorporate electro-acupuncture. Decided to cycle locally

    IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM

    Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    That's soooo frustrating!  I'm so glad you found her and hope you can knock out the mock cycle and get her reserved.  Are you with a clinic where you've cycled before?
