Pre-School and Daycare

New here! Intro

Hi girls!  I just realized this board was here.  I usually hang on PAL and Feb 2012.

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and my son is almost 6 months.  I am a teacher, so I am lucky to have my summer off with my kids.  DH and I have been married for 5 1/2 years.  We are very lucky to have both sets of our parents living close enough to have them trade off watching the kids while we work.

Since DD has been watched by her grandparents, she hasn't gotten too much time socializing with other kids her age.  We have friends with kids her age, but we don't get together too often.  She has been in gymnastics class as well.

So we have decided to have her start pre-school this September at a Montessori pre-school.  It is very highly regarded, and she's really excited to go.  She will go half day for 3 days a week.  She will only be 2 1/2, and we have an appointment for her to be observed to see if she is ready to start or if she should wait.  I think she will do well socially and academically, but I am worried about getting her potty trained by then.  It is a month away, and she is doing well, but we are still asking her and taking her to go.  She doesn't always tell us, and she still has trouble getting undressed and dressed.  So I just bought her a bunch of soft cotton shorts that will be easy for her to wear.

I am excited to get pre-school age tips, activities, meals (saw the post on cute meals, whoa, you guys rock!), ideas for families with 2+ kids, etc.  Any tips on starting pre-school would be welcomed!!!
