I have 2 month old twin girls and I've been cding for about a month. We're using prefolds (osocozy better fit infant) with covers. They have been working great so far, but they are really bulky. I'm doing the trifold in the cover. It's not a big deal now (since they aren't moving around), but what happens when they are crawling? I can't see that being an easy task with this huge and bulky diaper. I feel like they are going to be bow legged!
Did anyone notice bulk being an issue when their LO began to crawl?

As your LO's grow the diapers won't be so bulky. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how much trimmer cloth fits after the newborn stage.
But to answer your question, no it wasn't an issue at all. My LO has met his physical milestones on the early side and hasn't worn a disposable since we left the hospital at 2 days old. He can walk/crawl/climb even with his giant overnight diaper.
This might be a silly follow-up question, but can you till tri-fold at the crawling stage, or are the all-in-ones or fitteds a better option? Obviously I understand everyone is different, but just wondering other people's opinions.

DD is *so close* to crawling and as far as I can tell, cloth has not impeded her.
Remember, too, that disposables have not always been as trim as they are now, so learning to crawl with a bulky diaper is by no means a new challenge in child development. They were much bulkier even 10 years ago. And 30+ years ago when my sister and I were in them disposables were about the same bulk as a prefold.
Yup. No reason to stop. As your baby gets bigger everything will fit better, including tri-folded prefolds.
For most of human history, people have worn CDs and learned to crawl and walk just fine.
Nothing will stop your child once they decide it's time to crawl. Nothing. No matter how bad you want them to just lay there again. It's even worse when they start to walk
You can trifold you PFs until they are PL if you want. You may need to up the absorbency at some point, but that's easy to do.
