Well, I finally found out that the two tiny humans are both GIRLS!
I have had names picked out for a while so I think I am about 95% sure, I just need to sit with them for a few more days, now that I know what the sexes are. It's really important to me to get the names nailed down though.
My names are:
Audrey Grace & Lydia Louise
I chose Audrey and Lydia as names that I like that I chose for them. I wanted normal, traditional names but not top 10 and I wanted names without obvious nicknames.
Louise and Grace are my grandmothers' names. They were Emma Louise and Helen Grace, but both went by their middle names.
So, they each have their own name plus a family name.
Honest thoughts and opinions? Anything I am missing or haven't thought of?
Thanks!
And thanks for all the advice and feedback as I have been planning these names.
Re: Twin Girls - 95% sure
Personally, I would switch the middle names.
Audrey Louise and Lydia Grace
I don't love the LL in the way you've got it set up, currently.
Love the names, though! Congrats on your girls!!
Wow, your grandmothers had beautiful names!
I think Audrey Grace and Lydia Louise are beautiful The only (very slight) thing to think about is that Lydia-sounding names are pretty popular (Lydia, Layla, Lela, Lilah, Lily), but the name itself isn't crazy popular. If it does bother you at all, Nadia Louise would be super pretty, too.
But all in all, I think they are great names! CONGRATS on your pregnancy!
Ooooo - this too!
Honest thoughts: LOVE the names and why you like them/why they are special and
I'm thrilled for you, Melle, remembering you from quite some time ago on TTC>35

I agree! But regardless, congrats on your twin girls!
I didn't think of this until I saw PP mention it, but I think she's totally right. The names flow much better that way.
Congrats on both your girls! Daughters are so much fun!
I love the FN and MN's... great choices and they go well as a sibset. Personally, I would do Audrey Louise and Lydia Grace.
Great names--love them!
I agree with the mob about the middle name switcheroo, but the way you have them is perfectly nice, too.
Congrats on your girls!!!
This. Perfect!
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
Congratulations on two baby girls
I agree with PPs that the mn's would flow better with the fn's if they were switched to avoid alliteration.
I think Lydia is beautiful and a name that isn't often heard.
I'm not a huge fan of Audrey, but that may be because I think Aubrey, which ruined the former for me.
I like both middle names because they are family names. I especially like Louise because it's a family name for me as well as my middle name and DD's middle name I wish I would have thought to use it as a first name instead of a middle name.
I was going to say the same thing
I'd switch the MNs.
I don't love alliterative names, and Lydia Louise sounds a little comic book charactery to me.
Audrey Grace seems like a tribute to the golden age of Hollywood.
I think Audrey Louise and Lydia Grace are lovely. (Such a big fan of Louise!)
I was thinking the same thing. Very pretty either way, though.

Beautiful names. Your grandmas had beautiful names too. (envious as my choices were not so inspiring)
Congrats on the twin girls!

Exactly what I was going to say. I love the names when you swap the MN's around!
I agree with this. Love the names. Very beautiful and classic!
This.
They really are lovely names. Congratulations. :-)
Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it.
I have not considered switching the middle names. I think I have always had them this way. Not sure why I put them together like this, I just did. If I remember correctly, it was that Audrey was inspired by a name on the Grace side of the family but I don't remember.
I probably won't switch them because they have been in my head this way all this time, but I will definitely sit on it for a few days and see how it sounds for a while.
It's funny, neither of my grandmothers really liked their names which is a shame, because I think they were both beautiful. Unfortunately that is where the good names ended in my family. Then it got into a lot of Irene's, Estelle's, Lorretta's and Honoria's. Male names on both sides were pretty limited to Michael, Daniel, Patrick, William and Bailey. Thankfully they were all pretty classic names.
I am really excited about having two girls!
This is exactly what I was going to say. I love the names and the fact that you're using meaningful middle names. I'd just switch them to avoid the alliteration.
