GTKY: Your Office

I'm in the process of redecorating my office at work... well I should say decorating it period.  I've got these horribly ugly photos from the 1970's and no other decor.  I need some inspiration!

If you have an office or cubicle, how do you have it decorated?

If you dont have an office or cubicle, how would you decorate one if you had one?

bonus points for photos!!! =)

My area is decorated by my kiddos in my classroom.  I get lots of paintings and drawings on a daily basis.  I do have a few personal pictures of my niece and of me and my hubby around, but not many.

Mine is a rather private cubicle. I have an Oregon Duck calendar and penant, an engagement pic of DH and I, several pics from my bridal shower, and the last 2 Christmas photos my family sent out. Lame? Maybe. But it suits me perfectly Smile

My office in the office is sparce, since I only go there once or twice a week. I have 2 pictures, but other than that, there is nothing on my desk. It looks depressing.

I work from home a lot when I am not at clients and my desk is in our living room so it is nice:) I have some wooden letters that spell 'think', my diploma framed, and some cool artwork in my corner.

I have a cubicle, It is decorated with sticky notes, pictures of DS, sea shells, and lots of smallish piles of paper and magazines. I occasionally try to organize but... meh... I leave my motivation for organizing at home every day.

I have some notes that I need for work, like phone lists and directions and information pages . . Additionally, I have some pictures of the family to make me smile when I am having a bad day and they help me get through my day :-)

I have art prints - look at 20x200 for affordable ones. And obviously pics of my husband and dog. I also got a cute desk set and a calculator that is bedazzled, which never fails to make people comment. And finally (because I'm cray cray) I got a small rug from West Elm. It's a black & white chevron pattern. Basically, my cube is the girliest place in our office, and I'm just fine with that - I used it as my outlet for girly decor, since I have to keep things more gender neutral at home.
I promise to never forget that this little dude deserves just as much love after the baby comes as he has now.

I am actually moving into a bigger office at the beginning of the upcoming school year which has finally motivated me to do someth. So far I have painted it a pretty blue (much improved from the lovely institutional-putty color it was). I am also getting new (donated) pottery barn furniture which is white. Still trying to decide what to put on the walls. Oh I also have a partial divider thingy that kind of looks like a cubicle wall. It's pretty old and dingy so I'm thinking about covering it with some kind of pretty fabric.

I have an office. I decorate it with piles of paper.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

When the entire office was renovated a few years ago, we went to an open floor plan and work stations (not really cubicles think curved desks separated by material stretched on a frame).  The only people with offices are our co-presidents.

Because of the way our work stations are set up, it is hard to decorate.  Since the "walls" are thin material, you can't hang much.  I did manage to bring in a few personal touches.  I have a vase of silk flowers, a bamboo plant, a few wedding photos of me and DH, a few photos of friend and family, and a few small Knick knacks (I think I have three of the foam stress squishy things).  Of course most of this stuff is buried under a mountain of paperwork.

I have a very open cube, so on my desk I have a magnetic scrapbook photo board (from Creative Memories) where I can switch out small scrapbook layouts or photos.  On the one wall behind my computer monitor, I have a fabric board with criss-crossed ribbons (no idea what the official name is for those) where I can hang up work reference lists and photos and craft projects I get from my friends' children, etc.  And I have an M&M dispenser.  Nothing too exciting, but I love to swap out photos pretty frequently.
