Mirena questions TMI

I breastfed DD till she was 9 months old which took us to April.  I had Mirena inserted at my 6week pp appt. I did not get a period at all until June I got my first period since getting KU in October of 2010. 

I had my period for 6days or so. I than had some spotting. Than got my period again(so I think) 2 weeks from the first one and bleeding was a little heavier. Now I am having minor cramping and no more bleeding for about a week and a half.

A. is this normal? Since I did not get a period while breastfeeding I have no idea what is normal and not with Mirena. I read the drugs FAQ's but it only talks about 3-6 months after insertion which I had no period but I believe that was due to the breastfeeding.

B. how long will this last? I just want to know if I will be getting a period every 2 weeks for months or is this something that will end..

The Mirena is different for everyone, but spotting in the first 2 months is normal. However, if you are having heavy bleeding constantly, I would talk to you OB/GYN.

My bleeding was sooo wonky for like, a year, after getting the Mirena.I got one just about every 2 weeks.
