I feel for you!  I worry too that this will be an issue when my DH and I decide to start our own family!  Even when my sister was pregnant my DH made comments all the time comparing her to "most pregnant women" (in other words, his ex).  According to him my sister did EVERYTHING wrong (she did everything right -- she's a nursing SAHM) and his ex was a bar hopping, spent time in jail, did not breast feed SAHM.

So before my DH and I start a family (it will be my first pregnancy too) I will be sure to have this conversation with him!  I definitely don't want to be compared to her & her pregnancy and feel like sloppy seconds.

Every pregnancy is different and everyone parents different.  He needs to refrain from making comments and let you enjoy/learn during your first pregnancy!
