DD has discovered how to open the front door and keeps trying to go outside if I turn my back for a second...Does anyone have any tips on what to do?
We are currently renting a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 more weeks until our new place is built and so we are always in the room near the door and I'm worried she will get out if I'm not looking for a second. The door has a dead bolt but it automatically unlocks when you open the door from the inside so that won't keep her in. I guess I could push furniture in front of the door but do they sell something that attaches to the knob to make it more difficult? It's not a round door knob- it's one of those flat ones...
Ugh... this just made things so much more difficult...
Re: DD opening front door... help!
This is what I was going to suggest. Or if it will fit over the door knob hey have those covers that makes it so a child can't turn the door knob.

Look along the edge of the door--sometimes there is a button that will allow you to lock the handle.
This or Carla's idea is what I was thinking. I wouldn't move furniture simply because it seems that would be PITA every time you needed to go out the door.
Good luck! I see these LOs keeping up on our toes more and more every day. I've noticed C knows how to work door knobs now, too. Thank God he's just not quite tall enough to reach them on his own
