Hi everyone. This is my first pregnancy and we are sooooo excited. We were blessed to be able to bevome pregnant after only 2 months! Still a little in shock. I am just so scared I am going to lose the baby though. Both sister-in-laws have had miscarriages and I can't seem to get the idea out of my head. Both were trying for about 6 months to 1 year before they got pregnant and both babies were lost before the first u/s with no symptoms. I am hoping that because we were able to conceive so quickly that it is a good sign. I have very sore breast, little cramping here and there, and some back aches.I feel great other than being a little tired. I am trying to ease my mind and need some reassurance! I forgot to add we are 5 1/2 weeks pregnant

I am right there with you!  Three of my close family memebers miscarried around 7-8 weeks.  Thsi is our first pregnancy and I am just over 5 weeks along....but you just have to stay positive and be excited.  You can't control it, so just enjoy this time.  It had taken us 14 months to conceive this pregnancy but when I worry I just think..."enjoy this time because we worked so hard and long for it. "  GL to you but try not to worry too much.

Unfortunately m/c is common in the 1st tri. That's why so many of us do worry! Even those of us who have had healthy babies.  My midwife told me that it's 1 out of 4 pregnancies. 

All you can do is focus on the positive and hope that the first tri breezes by!

There are so many things that are out of our control, that it's really difficult to leave everything in nature's hands. Your family history is worth mentioning at your first appt, but it likely doesn't give you any higher chances of miscarrying than the average woman.

It's always a concern. You have no control over it & stressing yourself out over it is absolutely pointless. Today you are pregnant & love your baby. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I am very fearful too, i was pregnant may of 2010 and it didn't end in a positive way. I am pregnant again and tiring my best not to freak out every time I go to the bathroom or get those stretching feelings in my stomach. My advice to you is to relax. I know its really hard but stressing is not good for the baby, so just relax and enjoy that fact that you are pregnant. Its a great feeling and take things one day at a time.

Hi! When is your US? Hopefully you don't have to wait too much longer. Perhaps seeing a healthy little bean on the screen will calm your nerves a bit.

With that being said, I'm nervous with ya! I'm only about 4 weeks and my appt isn't until the end of August. My Mom is flying in from NH to be with DH and I at the first appt. She has missed so much in my life and it will be such an important and special time for her. We are all so excited but I can't help but be so scared as well. I have not had any symptoms what so ever except for a [near constant] headache I've had since last Wednesday. It hard to wake up every morning and not take a test just to be sure everything is okay in there.

I guess you just have to stay calm and hopeful. Everything will happen as it's suppose to.

I am right there with you- I worry all the time! We, too, got pregnant quickly and are so excited! The thing I've worried most about is not having morning sickness (I know I'll regret that when/if it hits!)- I just have extremely sore boobs, nausea, and backache. Thankfully, we're close to our first appointment (8/7), so I hope that will ease my mind a bit! I think I've taken 10 tests just to make sure I'm still pregnant! lol. Congrats to you and hopefully we can figure out a way to stay calm!

Thanks for posting this.  I also got pregnant very quickly and worry everyday that I am going to miscarry.  I have Lupus so I have an increased chance of miscarrying.  I have my eight week appt on August 15th so Im just trying to take it down a notch until  then.  Best of luck to everyone:)

I am here with you ladies, I am 7 weeks and we are not telling anyone until we see the u/s.  I know there is still a chance of miscarriage after that, but I didn't want to go in and have everyone be all excited for us only to have to say, 'sorry, we lost the baby'.  We are only going to tell our parents after the u/s next week, and then we will break the news to other people when we enter the 'safe' zone.
