Cetrotide/Ganirelix: A ? about how long it is taken

If you used this med in your protocol, did you need to take it the day AFTER your trigger? 

I need to start taking it tomorrow morning. I ordered 4 doses, which would get me to Friday when I it is estimated I will trigger.  Will I need to take it on Saturday, before a Sunday retrieval?

My big kit 'o meds came with six syringes of Ganirelix and I ended up using all of them, even one on the day of trigger. When I got the call on trigger day around 4pm with my instructions, I had to take one  last vial of Menopur and a Ganirelix (usually my nighttime meds) right then and trigger at 11pm.

You do NOT take it after trigger. You do take it up to and including the day of your trigger. Good luck!

Everyone's protocol can be different but I am scheduled to take Ganirelix for the last 4 days of my stims (not including the trigger day).

My protocol says to stop taking it the day of trigger.  I am doing EPP.

The bolded part is correct.  But not everyone takes it the same day as the trigger - it just depends on how your stims are going and what your RE decides.  I did not take any other meds the day of my trigger my last antagonist cycle.

This morning my nurse said that it's not needed the day of trigger.

I took it in the morning and triggered that night.  I did not take it the day after the trigger.

Thanks for your responses, ladies!  I have enough to get me to trigger, assuming that will still happen on Friday as estimated. 

I wish IVF protocols would come complete with one of these...
