Hi Everyone...
This is kind of a dumb question but were any of you told to have a full bladder for their anatomy scan? My friend just reminded me about this but my ob/gyn has never told me to come to an u/s with a full bladder. In fact, they usually have me give a urine sample beforehand. The last time I was told to come with a full bladder was at ET. I am not exactly sure what the reasoning behind the full bladder is but I know it was empty for the NT scan and they saw everything fine. Our anatomy scan isn't until tomorrow afternoon so I can call in the morning I was just curious if anyone else was told this was important.
Thanks!

I physically cannot have a full bladder. With twins it is too painful. They have never told me to have one though. In fact I gave a urine sample before my 1st u/s. I think the newer machines are so much more sensitive that it is not necessary, but some techs are just so used to the old rules.
I didn't even need a full bladder before ET. They didn't want me to empty it, but they didn't want me to be uncomfortable.
And I am overweight so you would think an u/s would be more challenging, but it's not. They just push a little harder on all my fat. : )

Thanks again. I just called my Dr. and she said no I do not have to have a full bladder to which I replied, "Thank goodness"! It certainly has become difficult to hold it in and it feels pretty full with very little liquid so I was definitetly hoping the answer would be no. I'm sorry some of you had to!
Now if they could just make the next 4 hours go by faster that would be great!
