Boys names- wdyt?

Miles' little brother needs a name! I'm feeling a strange turn from the more classic, traditional names that I'm a fan of to some less often heard names.

Currently on the drawing board: Dex and Jasper. I feel like Dex is more of a nn so would need to be Dexter (which admittedly I don't LOVE- though I do love Dex). Also, is Jasper too trendy? I would pair either with a very traditional middle name (I like William with both).

Any other ideas? Like them? Hate them? How do they sound with Miles?

Both are NMS but I think Jasper works with Miles. Dex to me is NN but Dexter works with Miles too I think.

Jasper is my guilty pleasure name.....totally not DH's style. I love Jasper. I have only heard of one boy IRL names this. I do not think it's used quite enough to be called trendy.

Neither thrill me for my own baby....but of the two I like Jasper best. And I agree it goes well with Miles.

I like Dex but I do not like Dexter. Jasper is fine, it seems feminine to me, plus, the Twilight issues has made it more popular.

Not a fan of Dex but LOVE Dexter and Jasper. I don't think Jasper is trendy. It's an old fashioned name that has been getting a little more popular within resent years. Both sound good with Miles.

I think Jasper is cute but couldn't use it because I associate it with a town called Jasper where there were some horrible racial/hate crimes.

Dex/Dexter is good too. I like other names with X in them better though. Max and Pax (Paxton). Jax (Jaxon) is good too, but Jackson is becoming popular.

I like Dex, Dexter is ok and Poindexter is a No (even tho you didn't suggest it). I met a Jasper a few months ago and he was the cutest kid ever-seriously could've been a baby model.
