Like most, my LO is a noisy sleeper. She grunts and sighs and breathes loud both falling asleep and waking up. When she is in a deeper sleep, she's pretty quiet.
When she starts waking up, and is making tons of noise, of course, I'm immediately awake. But she doesn't cry and she's not doing any hunger cues (though she's swaddled, but not even the tongue or mouth going). So at what point is she actually up for a feeding? Do I let her grunt and make noise until her eyes open, or do I just grab her and feed?
I should note, that this usually starts around when she should be due for a feeding, though sometimes she's a bit early (like 30 mins) so it's not like her schedule is off by much. She's 2.5 weeks. Thanks!
Re: When is your baby *up*?

My baby does the same thing...starts to stir, grunt, etc. I give it only a couple minutes to see if its "real" (not just settling back to sleep again) and if it continues I go ahead and get him up.
I've found that its much better not to wait until he's crying to feed him - if I just go ahead and feed he goes back to sleep a LOT easier than if he was fully awake first, which equals faster back to sleep for me! This was one trick I figured out that helped get my babe sleeping during the night instead of through the day.
Plus, if your daughter is so close to a feeding anyway, and you're awake, may as well go ahead so you dont' fall back asleep and have to get up again in 30 minutes-ish! : )
