For the past 2 days, when I start my LO on my left breast she fidgets and sometiems cries while nursing. My left breast is my "good" boob, supplying more milk but after nursing for only like 10 min I take her off to burp her and she spits up what looks like @ least 2 oz of milk. Why is she spitting up so much? I'm also worried she isnt getting enough milk since she spits it all up...any thoughts?
Re: One mo old spitting up all.the.time
2oz sounds like a lot, but it can look like much more than it actually is.
Do you simply have an active letdown or production? It kind of sounds similar to my situation - I've got a mega supply and over active let down, so milk literally sprays out of me. My daughter will fuss and cry at the beginning of nursing, pulling away and reattaching, trying to do something about the flow of milk.
If your daughter is gaining weight and seems content in general, I wouldn't worry. Babies will not let themselves starve, so if she's not screaming for more nourishment a few minutes after a nursing session, I would say keep the burp cloths and extra changes of clothes handy.

Having the same problem with my son. He's also 1 month. I tend to notice more of a problem with my right breast which also produces more. Sometimes I can even tell that he is getting way more at a time from this one so I'm sure the letdown is greater. My son is growing very well though so he must be getting enough, but it does look like he loses everythign when he spits up. I was told that the stomach bile and saliva mixed with the breastmilk makes it look like way more than it actually is.
If you think your baby isn't gaining, or seems distressed talked to your doctor. There could be a reflux issue going on as well.
