post delivery - coming off Nexium / Prilosec

Hi Ladies -

I know this is a parenting board, but I'm trying to find some ladies who just delivered.  :-)  I have been on Nexium since week 15 for reflux that was so atrociously bad I ended up in the ER and the urgent care multiple times before I ended up with a proper diagnosis.

My OB has me on Nexium DR (40mg).  I'm curious to know if there are other women who recently delivered who were on it for their pregnancy and what their experiences coming off of it after delivery were?

Were you able to get off of it?  Did things go back to normal?

I have no personal history of reflux, other than this pregnancy.

    I didnt get itso bad i ended up on medicine prescribed but i had it zo bad tums became partof my daily snacks and mels ;). My indegestion and acid etc was really really bad. If i drank water i had to eat a tums. As soon as ava was born though it immediatly went away. Now she is 8weeks old and it is still gone. If you never had a history before my guess is you will probably be fine after your lo comes. Good luck

    I was on nexium and went off it just fine with no issues now. I had it pretty bad,too.

    My reflux ended about a week after delivery.
