Climbing baby!?

Is anyone else's LO starting to climb things? In the past few days, DD has become a climber and it scares the crap out of me. She seeks out the highest point in any room, crawls over, and tries to climb up whatever it is. I feel like I can't take my eyes off of her.

ETA: And as I posted that I saw my picture pop up below it. This is totally payback from my childhood climbing antics, isn't it?

Re: Climbing baby!?

  • He definitely tries to climb up us when we're holding him.  We're not crawling yet, but I think when he does he'll be a handful.   He's an adventurous little one! A fan of big thrills...the higher the better! :)

Did you climb often?  If so, I'm totally jealous.  I went a few times and LOVED it, I even took a class on it in college (I was a recreation major).  I wanted to do it more on my own time but I didn't have the equipment and experience...and the main problem was I didn't have the friends (or hubby) who did it too and could teach me.

Pre-bably I climbed a fair amount, but it hasn't really worked out since then. Our climbing trips usually involved camping and I haven't felt that adventurous yet!

The equipment was kind of pricey, but we just jumped in and bought it one year. After that, it is fairly inexpensive to continue climbing. I took a class to learn how and when I met my H I taught him. I would like to take some more advanced classes, but with DD now, it probably won't happen.
