Sudden Fussiness

My LO is almost 6 weeks and she suddenly became fussy.  She currently has either bad baby acne, heat rash or an allergic reaction which came on as of Friday. I am trying to get her into the pedi tomorrow to see what he says.  She isn't usually a fussy baby but this whole weekend she won't lay down to sleep and fusses badly during feedings.  She will push the bottle out of her mouth (is BF expressed milk and supplemented w/ formula) and screams after she pushes it out.  She then shoves her hand in her mouth as if she's hungry and I'll put the bottle back in which she'll suck on for about 15 seconds then do this all over again.  During feedings she is constantly squirming and fussing and kicking her legs.  Has anyone gone through anything similar? I am hoping the dr has some answers for us tomorrow.

Re: Sudden Fussiness

  • It sounds very much like gas issues -- have you tried any gas drops or bicycling her legs to see if that helps?

  • yes I do frequently do the bicycling which does help.  She's super duper gassy while eating.  I am suspecting a formula allergy?
