I HATE my ob.

So, my due date was July 25th. I went for a check on July 23rd, and I was 1 centimeter and was told by my ob that my cervix was super soft and favorable. Then he tells me to make an appointment for the following Monday. I did ask before I left how long I would go before he would induce me, and he said he would induce at 1 week overdue, or at least make an appointment. goodgoodgood. Except when I go to check out and make my apptmnt with the receptionist, I am told that my doctor is going out of town and won't be back until Friday, August 3rd. I LITERALLY just spoke with him and he didn't even mention that? I let it go though, because I was pretty psyched about the progress I made, and the doctor did tell me there was no way I would make it to a week overdue, so I am feeling pretty confident. Now it is Sunday, and I have been having contractions since Tuesday night. Superrrrr annoying, but at least it means something is happening. Yesterday morning I started leaking fluid, so we went to the hospital. They take me to triage, and the nurse mentions I tested positive for Group B strep. My doctor never even told me, last thing he said to me was everything looked normal. At this point I am super annoyed, it is just something I would have liked to have known. Anyway, they decide to admit me, so I am pretty excited at this point. Fast forward about 7 hours, and they tell me not only is my doctor out of town, the only other doctor at that practice is ALSO out of town until Friday. Also, they have decided my leaking is not as bad as they originally thought, and the doctor on call for my ob decides to send me home without even seeing me because I am not his patient so he doesn't really want to take further steps. BUT MY DOCTORS ARE GONE UNTIL FRIDAY. So now I am back at home, between 1 and 2 centimeters and 70% effaced and I feel like I might just be pregnant foreverrrrrr.

I hate your OB too...and I hate mine and the midwife because they LIE!!! And eff with your head. Sick B@stards!!!!!

I had the same thing happen to me and ended up getting my OBs on call person.  Turned out I liked him more than my original OB, so I was a happy person
