DH is dead set on using his Gram's name as a middle name if we have a girl. He even accepts that Ora isnt cute, but it means so much to him I told him it was okay to use as the middle name.
What the heck will go with Ora?
Lucky Mom to 5 girls: 09/97, 06/99, 10/02, 11/04, 04/08 & Peanut #6 due in April!
Basically anything that doesn't end with an A or have an "uh" ending sound would work. Would he be flexible at all with it as far as extending it a little? I just typed it into babynames.com and they had Orana which is a little prettier to me. They also had Orabella but the whole bella ending is nms- just thought I'd throw it out there incase.

I really wouldn't worry about what "goes with" Ora. The percentage of people who ever use their middle names is so minute that it truly doesn't matter. choose a first name you like.

The bolded part makes me think we are in the minority in using our kid's middle names daily, especially when they're in trouble! As fo the original post, family significance trumps "flow" every time. As long as the fn doesn't end in a or uh you should be fine. I really like penelope Ora, as pp suggested.

Oh, I meant people who use their own middle names.
Re: Need a First name suggestion for Ora... Sigh...
