Let me apologize in advance because I am sure this has been asked before. I have five 4 oz. bottles, and four 8 oz. bottles. How many should I have to be prepared? TIA!
I'd say that's good to start - you don't want to buy too many and have your baby not like that particular bottle. Definitely don't stock up on anymore 8oz, since you won't need those at first, anyway.
We FF and ended up with about 10 of the 4oz and 10 of the 8oz.

I had 6 4 oz and 8 8oz with ds and we only used the 4 oz for a very short pd of time bc he came home drinking 3 oz from the hospital, so this time being we needed to replace everything I just went straight to the 8oz and bought 9 of them.

Thanks ladies! I have not decided if I will BF or FF. If I make the decision to FF, do I need to bring my bottles to the hospital, or do they generally supply those during your stay? That is probably a silly question.
That's good. Even when I was only ff after 2 months, we only had 8 or 9 bottles. I run the dishwasher every night. You can use the bigger ones in the beginning too, no harm only putting 3oz in them.

If you are planning to breastfeed, make sure you use a slower flow nipple if you use the 8oz bottles. The 8oz bottles usually come with a "stage 2" nipple. You can just buy an extra package of stage 1 or stage 0 (depending on the brand). Too fast of a bottle nipple caused some breastfeeding issues for us last time around.
With Born Free, all the bottles regardless of size come with a level 1 (the slowest). Can't speak to the other brands.

Ditto pp, no need to bring bottles. They'll supply you with pre-made formula in single use bottles. The nurses stocked us up with a bunch of extra packs of these bottles when we left, so we used those for a few days when we first got home. That was nice as it gave us time to go out and get that brand of formula.

Did your babies stick with that type of formula, or did you have to change it? I am leaning toward FF from the beginning, and I am just curious about your experience.

The hospital will have bottles.
