So I've had "lightning crotch" before and although uncomfortable, no big deal, right? Well, for the past two days, it's been intense. It's pretty much non-stop and it's stopped me in my tracks quite a few times. I know my LO's head is pretty far down (even the OB was surprised when I was checked Monday) and I know pressure is normal, but this is just shooting pain after shooting pain. Anyone else experiencing this?
ETA: I know I don't have a UTI or bladder infection. There is no burning sensation when I pee, smell, etc. that would flag a UTI (and I get them pretty regularly when I'm not pregnant, so I'm pretty good at detecting them).

Re: Intense "lightning crotch" anyone? (obviously TMI)
No you are not alone on this. There are times I swear someone is just stabbing me down there. Someimes it stops me dead in my tracks and brings me to tears, and i have to hold onto the wall if i am standing, which is really embarrassing when i am out in public or at work I find they are the worst after sitting or getting up in the middle of the night.
Hard to believe something so painful is normal but I've spoken to everyone and my OB and they say it's perfectly normal.
I cannot even imagine dealing with this for nine months. It's been just a few days and I'm over it, lol. My SO keeps asking me what's going on because I just grab the side of the couch or whatever and say, "Owwww." When I told him it was technically called "lightning crotch," you should have seen his face. Lol.
SCANDAL!
I've been having it MUCH more frequently in the last 3 weeks or so and it's FREAKING AWFUL!!!!!! I'll be doing something and it'll just stop me dead in my tracks and I'll either say something or cry (depending on how bad it is). DH asked me what was wrong and I told him about "lightning crotch" and the look on his face was priceless. I wish I hadn't been in so much pain so I could have taken a picture. It was hilarious.
