  • I think Jefferson is great...

    ...as a last name.

  • I don't care for it at all as a first name.

  • You could do Geoffery, I have always liked this name. It will reflect your hubbys but be DS's own... I mostly like it because of the short version Geof

  • The only reason I kind of like it is bc your DH is Jeffrey, so it actually makes sense, unlike a lot of last names as first names. However... It still sounds like a butler to me.

  • I think it would work better as a mn if anything.

  • I like it fine as a first name, but I wouldn't want my sons name to be that close to my husbands name.

I agree.  But I do like the idea of using it as a middle name.

  • Well I guess I'll be the lone wolf here, because I like it! I love Jeffrey/Jeff, and I think it has great meaning since it's your DH's name.
  • I like it- the "son" at the end usually means "son of" - DH is Andrew and we thought about Anderson for a boy which means son of Andrew. I like it, different and unique without being too weird in my opinion! :)
  • Looks like I might be one of a very few who like it! I don't care for the name Jeff for some reason but I like Jefferson =]
  • Thank you everyone for your posts. I'm going to show my hubby, and see what he thinks after reading them all.
  • I love it.

  • I side eye straight up last names for first names when they're not family names.  If Jefferson was your maiden name, I'd vote yes.  But just for the hell of it?  Nah.  Name him Jeffrey if you want to continue the Jeff tradition.
