TMI/embarrassing ? for IVFers

I'm not sure how active this board is on the weekends but I have a question...just wanting some insight or to hear another experience. I've been on google a lot and know it's time to just step away. 

I am 4dp5dt and last night I had two very enjoyable dreams...and by enjoyable I mean orgasms. I've had this happen a few times before in my life but each time last night I woke up with extremely sharp cramps. I've never had 2 orgasms in my sleep in the same night. All I could think about was my uterus contracting and my sweet embies being jostled around.

I know there is nothing I can do about it, it's not like I can control my dreams. It is stressing me out a bit. Anyone have any experience or stories they can share to reassure me? IF is such a roller coaster...so ready to be done. Hopefully with a smile on my face at the end of the ride.

AHHH! I totally just signed in to post about this same thing. I had a sexy dream last night too and it reminded me of someone (was going to ask if anyone remembered who) a couple of years ago who posted about sexy dreams and got a bfp that cycle. It was a running joke on TTGP that sexy dreams were a good sign. I'm 4dp5dt too so we will have to see if it means anything. FWIW, I wouldn't worry about jostling. Implantation should have already progressed beyond that really mattering, IMO.

I would love to have some sleep-orgasms. Now that would be cool!

I have zero experience with this, but I can tell you that I am not sure if it is a mental block or what but orgasms are completely different now that I am pregnant.

(Yes, if you can read my siggy, I am single, use your imagination!)

I'll spare the TMI details on why or how they are different, but they are different. Very different.

Ahhh, yes. I remember these. They started during the 2ww of my successful cycle and continued through first tri. That was a symptom no one prepared me for! I can't say whether or not it really means anything, but I definitely had them. The cramps are also very normal. Some nights I would be hunched in a ball from the pain of the post O cramps.

Don't worry! This happened to me too and right around implantation time! I was so concerned because the RE said specifically "no orgasms" and I ended up in the middle of a straight up porn dream at like 2am. I woke up in the middle changing my thoughts to my cat to try and calm myself down...but alas it was too late.

However, see the ticker below. I don't think that lovely dream affected anything. I should have enjoyed it!

What's weird is I've seen this question coming up a couple of times on the IF board, so it does happen every now and again.  The RE's should change their instruction to "No intentional orgasms."

That all definitely happened to me early first tri. Freaked me out a bit since I was on pelvic rest still, but my baby's now due in 6 weeks, so I guess it worked out ok it was the only action I saw in the first 12 weeks!

that did not happen to me during my 2ww, but i did have them very early in the 1st trimester. i also fell down the stairs during my 2ww- which to me is more disruptive than an orgasm- and no harm done.

i think they are just an effect of the increased estrogen- so it should be a good sign!

This has happened to me twice now and I'm only at 5w3d.  When the RN called me with my 2nd beta results, I asked if having sex was okay and she said absolutely, so I don't think there's anything to worry about.  I will say that I had no cramps after a sex O, but did have cramps after both sleep Os.  Not sure why that is.

Yep with the sessy dreams and O!!! Also yes with the weird cramping. I've had dreams/Os/Cramps with this and my last pregnancy.

Hi, my dear That has happened to me three times during this pregnancy. It freaked me out at first, but it's totally normal and sounds like a good sign for you! Oh I hope so!!! I hope the countdown to your beta goes quickly!

Well, I posted about this very thing in my 2WW, and learned that sleep O is actually a pregnancy symptom. I get them on a regular basis anyways, so I didn't read too much into it. I had one 3dp5dt and it caused my ute to cramp up like a charlie horse. Now, I am pregnant with twins. All the blood flow to that area causes them.

i had a lot of those dreams in the early weeks...but i had never O'd in my sleep before.

Goodness, thank you ladies so much! I feel much better now. Maybe since I had 2 O's in the same night that will mean twins

I had this in my first trimester and they were intense enough to wake me up and cause cramping.  I've had these off and on for years, but it happened a lot within a short period of time in 1st tri.

I just had one the other day for the first time since the beginning, but maybe that has more to do with being on restrictions.
