Would you consider Alden part of the "aden trend?" I know it doesnt have the aden in it, but it's pretty similar. We are considering using the name if it's a boy. The only Alden I know is an elderly man, but I still like the name because I tend to like vintage names.
Possibly:
Henry Alden
Alden Grant
Alden Henry
Alden James (family name)
Re: Alden?
I don't think it fits in with the -aden trend at all.
I like Alden James and Henry Alden
I love Alden. It's one of my favorites.
It may or may not be mistaken for Aiden but that's not something I'd let bother me.
As far as the Aiden trend..I don't think it all. However, out of that hot mess I do find Aiden acceptable. It's a legit, spelled right, very old man name, which I also happen to love.
Thanks guys! Now I just have to get the husband on board. He is refusing to discuss names at this point and turns down everything I come up with!
Also, I don't really mind the Jason Aldean thing since it is pronounced differently and he will more than likely be non existent in a few years anyway.
I like Alden and I like all your combos.
However in some fonts, including this one on TB, that L looks like an I and at first can read as Aiden.
I first saw it as Aiden, so to me, that would be a negative. But in general terms, it's a good name.
How about Alton?
(Full disclosure-I LOVE Alton Brown on the Food Network, so I'm a dork!)
