When is it offically TTTC?

I currently read an article that stated that if you're having unprotected sex for over 8 months without resulting in a pregnency that you need to seek a doctor or fertility specialist. I have been having unprotected sex for 12 months now will no luck. I was just curious when you considered it, trouble.
** I don't believe that old cliche that good things come to those who wait. I think good things come to those who want something so bad they can't sit still **

If it has been 12 months, then I would say look into a reproductive endocrinologist. You still might be ok, but it is good to have it looked into. It depends on the source you read, and what country you are in.  My dr followed some sort of British guide, I can't remember the name at this time.  Anyways it said two years!  But I got to about 1.5 years, and demanded she send in a referral for the OB.  I had been dx with PCOS as a teenager, so I knew pretty early when my periods were every 3-4 months sometimes six, that it was an issue.  I think if you have obvious signs like that, you need not wait a year, but that is just my opinion.

My husband and I have been together for over 4 1/2 years with never using protection and I have not been pregnant. I finally went to my family doctor to get blood work done and they said I was fine, we are still waiting on my husband's results which we will get tomorrow. The funny thing is my doctor did not seem concerned at all that I have not been pregnant after all these years because we haven't been actively trying. However after all these years I know we don't have that good of timing so I believe there is something wrong with us. Good luck I hope it's just a timing problem for you two.
