What does the baby names board think of this name?

We found out yesterday it's a girl and we are thinking of adding this to the list!

Makayla = #56 last year

Mackenzie = #68 last year

I don't like it at all. This name makes me think teen mom. Michaela, while NMS, is an acceptable, legit name.

My SIL is Mikayla, I think its beautiful this way.

I think it's okay but I don't like Mak- names very much. I prefer Kayla. Certainly nothing wrong with it.

Not a fan of that spelling, but the name is fine. I guess it was really popular a few years ago and is now becoming a little less so. I didn't even know until very recently since the only one I know is 12.

It's a lovely name when spelled correctly (Michaela).  I abhor all of the made up, phonetic spellings.

If you use it I would definitely go with the traditional spelling.

 The name is ok, I guess. I wouldn't use it, but I know a several very trashy people with the name so it turns me off. I'm sure there are plenty of decent people with the same name, but since all I know are the trashy ones I could never use it.
