Maybe this is more of a question for second+ time Mom's who are not registering, but who's started buying nursery stuff? I just bought my little girl's bedding and I can't wait to set everything up... not sure when that will be, though, since DS is still using the crib
Re: Who has already bought nursery stuff?
I'm a FTM, but I'm not having a shower.
I have so much stuff done and up already. I have the furniture and bedding, but I don't have the mattress yet, and it's killing me! lol. I want that finished look NOW!

If you're looking for mattress suggestions, I have bought the naturepedic organic ones (on amazon) for my kids and they are fantastic! I did a ton of research with DD #1 and I would recommend this brand to anyone.
With DS (who's almost 2) we bought him a 4 in 1 crib. It convert into a toddler ad then a double so he's keeping his crib. We're buying the glider (never had one with DS) and DC#2's crib in a month. It takes 8 weeks to arrive so it should arrive when I'm 34 weeks.
We already bought the chest of drawers from IKEA.
As for other things...my CD stash will be completed on Monday after my A/S scan.
I haven't bought anything yet, since we only just found out this next LO is going to be another girl. DD and this LO will be sharing a room so until Tuesday, I didn't know if I was going to have to make DD's room gender neutral (if LO was a boy) or if I could keep it girly.
In my search to find gender neutral ideas, I realized that I wanted to change up the room anyways. Last night I spent the evening scouring Etsy for stuff. Next weekend we are going to go out and look for a twin bed for DD. We really don't need much, a few new wall decorations, DD's bed and curtains. We already have so much.

That is what I just ordered! The lightweight version.
As for the nursery, got the dresser a while ago, just ordered the crib last night. I have the fabric for the bedding, just waiting for the actual furniture so that I can sew it to fit. Can't wait!!
We have ordered Everything but a bookshelf. The crib is being delivered on Tuesday and I cannot wait to see it all set up.
Unfortunately, the rest of the furniture won't arrive til early October
I want it all now!!!!!
We've picked the crib & dresser, just need to order. Still need to select and order the mattress, glider, and a bookshelf. Colors/theme have been set for months already.
Can't find any off-the-shelf bedding I love - so looking into custom options. Once that's finalized, I can pick the paint from the mega-bag of turquise paint chips I've hoarded.
Officially - I've only purchased the lamp, and we've installed the new floor.
We're converting our guest room, so I don't think we'll do much besides paint and build the closet organizer until the furniture arrives. That way we can still host people.
I'm a FTM but my nursery will be 100% done on 8/3 when my crib gets delivered. We bought the dresser, the crib, an end table and already had a rocking chair to match the room. I bought wall decals which I have framed in white frames to hang as decor, got the crib sheet, lamp, curtains and added the drawer knobs I hand painted to the furniture. I also already bought all the closet organization and the kid has about 30+ outfits sitting in there already. I am so excited for it to be fully finished next week!
We bought a lot within the first month of getting a BFP :
Crib, glider, bedding, dresser, side table, storage cubes, mattress, decorations
All gender-neutral of course.
We bought our bassinet at about 16 weeks. It was gender neutral. When we found out we were having a boy, I went through the clothes I hadn't donated or gave to my ex's cousin who also had a boy to see what we had for this baby. Then, we went and bought a few more things from a resale store. Other than that, most of my son's baby gear was donated, so we don't have much of anything. We do still have the crib, as we just switched my son from a toddler bed to a twin, and a changing table.
We have made some plans for the nursery which will be half of my son's room until we move.
