Ok, so totally random, but I dreamed a middle name last night for our little girl. We're likely naming her Margaret (after my grandma, nn Greta) and in my dream we gave her the middle name Dove. I kind of like it, especially since Dove is a symbol of peace, and DH, who vetoes just about everything, seemed to like it too. Do I have my blinders on - is it a terrible name?
And on a related note, DS is Oliver Robin - I don't dig matchy names in a family. Would it be dumb or just quirky to have 2 bird based middle names?

This! Also, I am really liking the name Dove, esp as a middle name. Great dream!

See - I would *never* do that. It drives me crazy when people think if they give 2 kids a "P" name, all the kids need a "P" name. That's what makes me nervous about this bird thing! :P

I love Dove as a middle name but it seems I am one of the few people on here that thinks the bird thing is a little wierd. I think it's annoying when people give their children all flower names (ex Poppy, Rose, Violet, Iris, Daisy, Lily) or season names (Summer, Autumn, Winter) or themed names (Marina & Sailor). Robin and Dove would def fall under this category and make me roll my eyes. I would think that your next would be given Wren or Jay as a middle name. I do however think that using them as middle names is a much lesser evil than first names.
