Progesterone ?(sp)

Sorry is this has been asked before, it is all new to me. I had betas drawn yesterday and progesterone levels. They called this morning, beta 37 and progesterone 11.6. They are starting me on 200mg oral progesterone at bedtime. What kind of side effects can be expected? 

Just nervous, we had a miscarriage in April. The nurse said It could just be that I am very early in the pregnancy and that is why the numbers are low. I go in for a repeat draw on Sunday. Thank you for any insight you can give me.

    The progesterone should help you not have another miscarriage.  I have been on progesterone for both of my pregnancies.  The only side effect I had was constipation/diarrhea. Progesterone can slow down your digestion.

    Progesterone insert vaginally is more effective than taken orally.  You might want to ask about that.  Usually they make you take it up to 11 weeks.  Side effects are sleepiness and constipation (take lots of fiber).

    I took it vaginally for first 10 weeks. Made me feel bloated like I was retaining water. I think I actually lost a couple of pounds once I stopped taking it.

    I am 36 years old, third pregnancy (first two ended in miscarriages).  With this pregnancy I got a new doctor who said that the MINUTE I got a BFP he wanted to start me on 50 mg progesterone suppositories 2x day.  I believe it has helped me!  I heard the baby's hearbeat at 6w4d and it was 140 bpm.  I never had that milestone with the other two pregnancies. 

    As far as side effects.... leakage obviously- pantyliners are a must!  Also, bloating... I basically think that it heightens all of the regular pregnancy symptoms because you are putting extra hormones in your body.

    I had 3 previous miscarriages when I was 38, 39, and 40.  Im 41 now and my doc put me on 200 mg suppositories 1 x day.  Always miscarried between 6-8 weeks before.  Have great HP (1st time ever).  The other side effect I have is that my urine smells like asparagus!  I am taking the suppositories until week 14.
