Hi ladies,
I just wanted to say that I know I posted this about a month ago, but as of yesterday everything is finalized. I am so relieved. While they still made no formal policy, they did adopt a modified duty policy for off duty injuries/issues. I would feel better if something was set in stone but this is as good as it is going to get, and my employer has been supportive thus far.
I will be modified duty on Monday. I was asked to consider teaching a new hire some policies on animal control issues, which I know nothing about yet, and also I was asked if I wanted to get my general topics instructor cert. Thankfully its all falling into place, it has been a stressful month.

Glad to hear it! My pregnancy also fell under the "off duty injury" policy and I was so stressed about it before I was officially put on modified duty. It all fell into place from there.
My only advice is to do whatever they request of you with your head held high! They can always take away your modified duty if they decide they no longer have something for you to do. If you're being a good sport and doing your assignments to the best of your ability I see no reason why they wouldn't do what they can to help you out.

Great point! I have to be mindful of how much Internet time I use at work. I'm looking forward to Monday to say the least.
