Sent home (TMI)

So yesterday I called the nurses line because I had about 15 braxton hicks over a relatively short period of time and have had a lot of mucousy discharge over the past few days. She told me to go home and drink water and take a warm bath and if they didn't go away to call the on-call line.I knew they would go away if I was lying down... I know what BH feel like vs real contractions. The problem is that they start up every time I'm not lying down. I spoke with my MW about this and she seemed fine with what was going on.

I'm more concerned about the discharge honestly because I never had this issue last time around. I guess if I have more BH today I'll just call them back.

  • Ugh, hope you get some relief! That stnks to just be waiting and not able to do anything without them starting up again.

BTW, I love your siggy pic!

  • Hmm I've had a ton of mucusy discharge for weeks now. I haven't really thought much about it, I thought its normal to have increased discharge in the 3rd tri?

I hope it's normal because I've had an increase too! OP-my ob said it could be the heat that brings them on as well...so rest up!

    Same here.

I think it is normal to have an increase in discharge but mine changed consistency very rapidly. That coupled with the BH I just thought I'd call. The BH have started up again as I'm sitting at my desk. I guess this will just be my new reality for the next 9 weeks.

I have BH all day. everytime I stand up, when my bladder is too full, if I got for a walk etc etc.  they pretty consistently stay at 10 mins apart.  my baby is still cooking and doing great.

Me too. I have so many Braxton Hicks in a day. I'm trying to just tell myself that my uterus is going to be so well toned by delivery that labor will be a breeze (haha....).

I get a ton of BH during the day - a TON.  My discharge is also revving up too.  I think it's just my body prepping for the big day.  My doctor said unless my contractions were timeable and increasing in pain, they were more than likely nothing to worry about but to go to the ER if I ever felt something was "off".
