got hand sanitizer in my nose.......

So this morning my boys were getting in my purse and when I realized it I went to stop them and my youngest was just getting into my hand sanitizer and when I went to grab it he squeezed it really hard and it exploded out and some of it went up my nose......it burned and I blew my nose as much as I could but now my nose feels weird. Of course it says on there not to inhale or ingest so being the paranoid person that I am now I am worried. It was only in my nose but now whenever I breath I can smell it. I am almost 27 weeks, would anyone else be worried because I feel really silly calling the doc and telling them I got hand sanitizer up my nose.....

I think you should be fine I can not find anything on it but it is not like you do it all the time! good luck I hope u get rid of the smell soon!

It's just going to burn for a bit. No big deal. Nothing can be done after the fact, unless you want to try to rinse with a saline spray, but the alcohol has all absorbed.

Hahahahaha! I am so sorry I am laughing at this, but I think the whole story is funny. But I'll be honest, because it does say not to inhale (and I can get paranoid, too), I would probably be a little curious of any affects and just call. I would probably preface it to the office as "I have a really rediculous question...." I bet to them it may not be that rediculous though.  As always, it's better to be safe than sorry! They won't mind ansering, it's their job

You should be fine.  It's mostly alcohol, so it dries pretty quickly even though you might smell (or taste it, I've gotten it on my hands and then licked my fingers, blaheeeckkkk!!).
