AW: He went to the potty by himself!

I just had to share, and well, who to share potty talk with but you gals!

LO has been spending part of every day naked on the lower half. Part of this is because he had a diaper rash I was looking to help, part of this is because we've done EC (elimination communication). He has been holding it for a while now, and we've only been having like 1 accident a day. Now, I don't think of this as PT because he simply goes when I take him. I think it's good practice, but he certainly is not trained.

Anyway, today he put his little butt up in the air, and went backwards bear walking like 2 feet to the potty, sat down on it...and peed!! When he was done, he stood back up and crawled away. Actually, we high fived repeatedly, and then he stood up and crawled away. His little maneuver to get to the potty was pretty cute.

So cute! Linus just finally acts like he understands there's pee in there. He's started pulling at his diaper when he's wet and said "poo poo" one day after he pooped. He's so "trying" though at times that I'm sure he will be a late potty trainer lol.

That is awesome! Chase isn't even close. He seriously gives us no indication that he has to go or has gone.

That is awesome! I have a feeling we have a while until we are even close to PT. He gives us no indication that he's peeing and I can only tell when he's pooping because he makes poop face and grunts.

OMG!! I just LOL at WORK! That is Hysterical! YAY for him and you! Party!!!

We're on day 16 of poopin' in the potty. And pee has been waaaayyy more miss than hit, and mainly on the bathroom tile. We're def. having nakey time this weekend due to a diaper rash.

Definitely not. In fact, my first reaction when I read this post was "You've got to be kidding me." Most kids this age are nowhere near developmentally ready to even try PTing and the thought hasn't crossed my mind that we should be doing this with DD (who does in fact tell me when she's pooped). However, now having a 3.5 year old who is just now PT'd I'm seriously jealous if these kids are ready and able to do it so young!

This. We're nowhere near even attempting to potty train. Our oldest was a late trainer and I'm hoping that the twins will take a cue from him and train a lot earlier than he did.

Good job! We've been ECing for 2.5 months now and catch nearly all (at home or with mommy) poops (since caregivers don't EC yet) and about 1/4 of the pees.
