Hi everyone.
I've lurked on this board just a bit since I had my baby this past Saturday, exactly a month early.
My due date was August 21 and Foster Mathijs decided to make his appearance this past Saturday on July 21st at 35 weeks rather than waiting. He was 5 lbs, 8 oz at birth and seemed like everything would be okay, but he's had some issues that are keeping him in the NICU for now, with this coming Tuesday being the earliest possible date he can come home. Although that's been hard, I know that I am lucky that he is just late preterm--he is surrounded in the NICU by much smaller preemies and other babies that have been there for far longer.
I never anticipated having my baby 4-5 weeks prior to my due date, and unprepared is an understatement.
I know a few of the other moms from the August BMB are already here, and I look forward to reading the posts from the ladies on this board.
