Hello everyone:)
I thought I would introduce myself as I feel like this board may become very resourceful and I'll probably lurk often and want to post! My little one, Caroline, was born July 2nd at 35 weeks gestation by emergency cesarean after I was diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome. At birth she weighed 5lbs and was 19.5 inches long. We spent three long and challenging weeks in the NICU between two level III hospitals with a Necrotizing Enterocolitis scare. Additional imaging studies remained inconclusive and Caroline began improving with bowel rest and antibiotics. She did however have positive blood cultures which could have likely caused her decline in respiratory function and ileus of the bowel. After three of the scariest weeks in my life, I am happy to say that we are now healthy at home.
