After reading several of the posts on this board, I had decided that I wanted to try EPO and RRLT. I mentioned it to my OB, just so she would know that I was taking it and she suggested that its not really effective. I just brushed this off as uneducated OB advice (or whatever you want to call it), but decided to find articles and studies that actually support the use of these supplements. I couldn't find anything really specific that said "this dose at this time helps do x". Also, I've seen a few posts where midwives tell some women that only oral is effective and some say only suppositories are effective.
So, my question is, if you take either of these do you take them just on your midwife's recommendation or have you actually found specific support (like studies) that indicate how to use them most effectively?
Re: Why do you take EPO/RRLT?
IMHO I dont think there are a lot of studies, because most of the studies are backed by pharmaceutical companies. Why study something that wouldnt make a profit for you? Cinical, I know.
I think it varies person to person on how effective it is, just like anything. Personally, I do the RRLT now and will do the EPO when I get lots closer. If I can try something natural to prepare my body, Im going to try it.
