I am hoping one of you mommies can help me out real quick! My baby boy will be about 9-10 months old during the summer months next year and I am looking to buy a matching outfit for him and my daughter. It is a smocked shortall. My daughter is tall, so I am going to assume that he will be too. If anyone has bought smocked outfits what do you think? 12 or 18 months? There is only a little over an inch difference between the 2 sizes. Should I be safe and get the 18 months? This site is have a killer sale and just can't let it go!! Thanks so much!
Re: boy sizes for shortalls
I bought size 12m smocked shortalls for DS. He began wearing them around 8m old, and is just about to outgrow them now (11ish months) because of length. He's 80-85 percentile, for height, so moderately tall.
The ones I have are johnjohns - like the ones here, if that makes a difference. (I don't have that brand - that's just what came up first in the google search. No leg elastic, so no need to worry about pinching on chubby thighs.
My barely 9 mo boys are about to outgrow their 12 mo jon jons. One of mine is really chunky and it's almost too tight through the chest (because of his giant belly) but fine on the legs (and he's got some serious thighs). Length is almost too short for the taller thinner one.
I'd buy 18 mos if I were you, I'm wishing I had! Please share the site that's having the sale too if you don't mind.
