1st Trimester

7 weeks and no symptoms

I am 7 weeks along and I haven't had ANY symptoms (and yes the doctor has confirmed I am preggers). I know they say symptoms start about 6 weeks so it may not start yet, but it is really concerning... what if something has already happened.

When did most people have their symptoms start? Has anyone else had their symptoms start really late and everything was still ok? I just want to try to keep myself from freaking out.

My first OB visit isn't for 2 more weeks so that is a long time to wait. Thanks!

Re: 7 weeks and no symptoms

  • From all I have read you might not Get any..then I have also read you should be thankful for that lol. I know we can't help to just freak about every little thing.. I am expecting twins and oly have sore nipples and tired.. You figure with twins it would be double, but every pregnancy is different. If you get too worried you can always see your doctor sooner. I did. Hope this helps.

  • I will be thankful if I don't get any symptoms once I know everything is ok. But at this point, I would rather be puking my brains out than sitting here freaking out.

I am hoping for twins! Big Smile  Then it's once and done for me!

I would love to move my appointment up, but I am out of town for the next 2 weeks.

Thanks for the reply. It is helpful.

  • I had cramps up until 8 weeks.  Morning sickness started around week 7.  Like PP posted you may not experience any and be thankful because morning sickness sucks!  Even with symptoms the first weeks are filled with anxiety about the LO sticking.  Hang in there!  H&H 9 months!

  • Oh trust me if I was puking my brains out I'd feel so much better. I know exactly what you mean. Why don't you find a doc for where you are? You need piece of mind.. Might not be a bad idea. ;)

Yes my husband and I haven been trying for awhile, had 2 miscarriages and found out I have a pretty serious clotting disorder that caused me to lose the babies.. So as you could imagine.... Twins was the best news I could of ever of got. ;) hang in there and don't worry I'm driving my self crazy everyday worrying! ;)

  • I hardly had any symptoms with my first 2 pregnancies-just a little queasiness and fatigue. You might be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to battle severe m/s.

  • ok that makes me feel better. Maybe there are really lucky ones out there! Smile

Thank you all for your posts. I'm feeling better! Good luck to you all!!

  • Everyone is different. My symptoms didnts start until I was in between 8/9 weeks. And it started with nausea sometimes some vomiting and my boobs began to feel heavier. Now I'm ten weeks with the same symptoms but sometimes they will skip a day or maybe more. Don't sweat it!
  • Stop worrying.  It won't help no matter what's going on.  I had no symptoms in the first tri with my first pregnancy, and everything was absolutely fine.  This time around, they're very mild.  The absence of symptoms does NOT mean that any thing is wrong.

As some would say, count your blessings! I didn't really get any until almost week 8. I had cramping and mildly tender breasts before then, but not all the time. But don't worry. Every body and every pregnancy is different.

  • I am 9 1/2 weeks and my symptoms basically just stopped yesterday. I'm hoping it permanent and not just temporary! I am finally feeling better and actually want to eat which is fantastic. I don't feel awful if I wait more than two hours to eat, I just get hungry! Enjoy if you aren't having symptoms because having them is no fun at all. Not wanting to eat and feeling like you are going to throw up all the time is pretty awful. I'm sure everything is fine and just enjoy that you are feeling good!

  • I never had any symptoms in the first trimester. I was one of the lucky ones who didnt get m/s. Dont look for trouble. Just consider yourself lucky for now but know it is still early.
