I would never assume the T's I would always ask about if it ended in an E or not.

I've never seen it spelled with an "e."  Maybe they are confusing Scarlette with Charlotte?  Scarlett is the most common spelling of the name that I've seen.

Looks silly and I would pronounce them differently, Scarlet(t)- Scar-lit, Scarlette- Scar-let

I have NEVER seen Scarlett spelled with an E at the end! Maybe its a regional thing?

I agree with you that I see Scarlet as a color and Scarlett as a name. I really don't like the look of Scarlette.
