I have been searching through names on Nymbler and here is what I have. I'm not really attached to any of them yet, except for Preston. Siblings are Spencer Thomas and Harper Ann. Boy middle name will be Michael and girl middle name will possibly be Beth or Mary. Thoughts?

Yes we do. Our last name is clearly a last name so it works for us.

None of your girls names are my style.  Especially annoying are Emerson (a boy name) and Presley (what?).  If I had to choose, I'd go with Hadley... but I really don't like any of them.

I'm not really sold on any of the girls names either:( I am having really strong boy vibes with this one (my vibes were right with my first two) so I'm not as worried about the girl names.

I like Sloane and Hadley.  Hadley was on our top 5 girls list but in the end it just didn't wow me like I wanted.  It was my #1 for literally years and then it just kinda sounded blah after a while to me.  I still like it, just not exactly what I wanted.

None of the boy names are my style.

I like Ainsley and Preston is ok. Really dislike Presley and Calder- Calder reminds me of scalding and just sounds really unpleasant.

Holden: nms, I want to say 'holding' when I see it

Calder: nms, reminds me of cauldron

I love the name Anderson for a boy.  And I really like Presley for a girl.

I like Preston and Holden on your boy's list, but your girl's list is NMS except for Hadley, which I like.

I really like all of your boy names, except for Calder.  Holden would be my number one boy name, but when you say it with my last name, it sounds like you are saying "Holding Somebody."

I am not crazy about the girls names, but if I had to chose one I would pick Ainsley, as it seems to match your other children's names in feeling.

Harris/Harrison - I really like this name on a boy, it sounds really handsome

Anderson - this one is too common of a last name for me. I don't mind surnames as first names, but this is the #3 most common last name in America. I'd ditch it.

Preston - like very much

Holden - meh.

Calder - I don't mind it, but I like Harrison and Preston better

 

Girl:

Ainsley - love it for your taste!

Presley - no.

Emerson - cute, but there are a lot of Emily's and Emma's and Emmeline's. Just something to think about.

Sloane - love!

Hadley - love this, but it's too close to your other DD's name

My faves would be Harrison and Sloane.

Harris/Harrison- Harrison is fine, makes me think of Harrison Ford...but that's ok.

Anderson- This sounds extremely formal, with a nn of Andy I think it's ok

Preston- Definitely my favorite on your list

Holden- nms

Calder- nms

 

Girl:

Ainsley- I don't like this name at all, it sounds made up to me

Presley- nms, but probably the best of your girl list

Emerson- This is a boy's name

Sloane- Rhymes with "moan" so fine if she's going to be a zombie, otherwise no

Hadley- This is the name of a town near me

We considered naming our little girl Presley, too. My father's name is Marvin but also gets called Elvis a lot by his friends.  Because we'd never name one of our kids Marvin, we thought Presley would be a nice way to still honor him. 

As for a boy, I really like Harrison, but it could be because of the wonderful child in our neighborhood who is always really sweet!
