This is a very popular cajun last name. It's too bayou for me. I feel like this is the same thing as naming your kid Boudreaux or Gauthreau.

This. It's not an awful name, I just think there are much better ones out there, and I feel like it's likely that someone would write it or read it as laundry sometime by accident.
